Matangi Hillcrest were impressive winners of the first of two 2020/21 Waikato men’s semi-final games played at Te Awamutu Wednesday evening.
MHSC Mustangs put on a classy performance against a well prepare Te Awamutu Braves in very hot and dry conditions.
Matangi Hillcrest were strong on attack pressuring the defence, with long periods of possession. The sustained pressure was rewarded with some outstanding goals. Te Awamutu made uncharacteristic mistakes that allowed MHSC Mustangs to control the game.
This weeks Bootleg Brewery Mustang of the Match was Connor Parker for a next level shooting show, inspiring the young team and a disciplined defence performance.
